Allie & Tate - Wedding, Lincoln NE

What feels like eons ago was actually just over three years; I was living in Kearney Nebraska and surrounded by amazing friends who soon became family.  In 2008 I moved back to Minnesota but never once forgot about or failed to miss my Nebraska family.  Just over a year ago Allie (friend who became family) asked if I would venture down to Lincoln Nebraska to photograph her wedding.  Well how could I say no?  It was a no-brainer in my eyes and I was absolutely honored to have the opportunity to capture their special day.

Allie and Tate have the kind of love that knows no bounds, expresses life in color, and lives out loud.  We should all be so lucky, so blessed.

Just love.

No it isn't ALL about the bride but when the groom misunderstands where to meet us, well, us girls have to have our fun.

Not even planned -- this little butterfly decided to grace us with his presence so we obliged.

Um hello???  Can you say STUNNING bride?  We can.  And she is!

Come on boys... loosen up a little.  ;)

Family Portrait Session - October, 2011

Meet the Beckwith family!  This is the second time they have invited me to photograph their family and it was even more fun than the first time - even if it was an unseasonably warm and muggy autumn morning.  I was fortunate enough to meet Mom and Dad Beckwith through my other job and from there, a friendship was born.

Such a lovely family, such amazing people, such love for one another.  It's a beautiful thing.

Riley & Kaiden - Children's Portrait Session, II

These are the young men I photographed a few months back and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing them again on a beautiful fall day.  Wait... oh that's right, it was an unseasonably warm and muggy fall day.  The first time we had a photo shoot together it was a regular heat box of 107 degrees outside, this time it was muggy and crowed with gnats.  That said, the boys did great and they were such troopers.  I figure they will get used to the paparazzi (yours truly) in no time.  Especially if their folks and I can figure out a day to take pictures when it isn't hot or sticky or gnat-y outside.  ;)

Can you say ham?  ;)

I just LOVE how these turned out - such a fun time!
