Allie & Tate - Wedding, Lincoln NE

What feels like eons ago was actually just over three years; I was living in Kearney Nebraska and surrounded by amazing friends who soon became family.  In 2008 I moved back to Minnesota but never once forgot about or failed to miss my Nebraska family.  Just over a year ago Allie (friend who became family) asked if I would venture down to Lincoln Nebraska to photograph her wedding.  Well how could I say no?  It was a no-brainer in my eyes and I was absolutely honored to have the opportunity to capture their special day.

Allie and Tate have the kind of love that knows no bounds, expresses life in color, and lives out loud.  We should all be so lucky, so blessed.

Just love.

No it isn't ALL about the bride but when the groom misunderstands where to meet us, well, us girls have to have our fun.

Not even planned -- this little butterfly decided to grace us with his presence so we obliged.

Um hello???  Can you say STUNNING bride?  We can.  And she is!

Come on boys... loosen up a little.  ;)

Family Portrait Session - October, 2011

Meet the Beckwith family!  This is the second time they have invited me to photograph their family and it was even more fun than the first time - even if it was an unseasonably warm and muggy autumn morning.  I was fortunate enough to meet Mom and Dad Beckwith through my other job and from there, a friendship was born.

Such a lovely family, such amazing people, such love for one another.  It's a beautiful thing.

Love is connected to life and life is connected to love.

Riley & Kaiden - Children's Portrait Session, II

These are the young men I photographed a few months back and I had the distinct pleasure of photographing them again on a beautiful fall day.  Wait... oh that's right, it was an unseasonably warm and muggy fall day.  The first time we had a photo shoot together it was a regular heat box of 107 degrees outside, this time it was muggy and crowed with gnats.  That said, the boys did great and they were such troopers.  I figure they will get used to the paparazzi (yours truly) in no time.  Especially if their folks and I can figure out a day to take pictures when it isn't hot or sticky or gnat-y outside.  ;)

Can you say ham?  ;)

I just LOVE how these turned out - such a fun time!

Family Portrait Session - October, 2011

I recently had the distinct pleasure of photographing an old childhood friend and her every growing, ever changing, simply beautiful family.  Once upon a time we used to stay overnight at each other's houses, share secrets, laugh all night, and complain about boys.  It seems like ages ago...

One thing (among many) I love about good, solid, lasting friendship is... it lasts.  No matter the time passed, not matter the miles between, a friend is a friend is a friend.  I'm so very honored and pleased to have been able to photograph this amazing family; one I will always hold close to my heart.

Riley & Kaiden - Children's Portrait Session

I had a photo shoot this morning with a couple of great boys.  They were such troopers in the midst of an incredibly hot, humid, soggy day.  The shoot only lasted a hair over an hour and I think that was plenty long for all involved.  Mom, the kids, and the photographer (that's me) were sweating like ... well, like people who sweat when the heat index is 107 degrees at 10am.  Yes, in the morning..  Um, hottt.

This is but a sneak peak of more to come.  We were able to get some great shots while beating that humid Minnesota heat.  When you live here, in Minnesota (during the summer), you do what you can to cool down.  After the shoot they all went for ice cream and I went home for my second shower of the day.  Potayto. Potahto. ;p

Meet Max, a spunky little 1yr old with enough charm to fill all 10,000 lakes in Minnesota.  And then some.

Andy & Anna - Wedding, Rogers MN

What happens when you combine laughter, love, and companionship?  These two happen, that's what!  So happy, so very much in love and it was so very evident.  They were not going to let a little blowing wind and rain ruin their big day and oh what a day it was!

A preview of their special, amazing, love-filled day!

Hand in hand, the journey begins...
