Winter Wonderland

As much as I enjoy photographing people and their momentous, timeless occasions, I also enjoy and have a special place in my heart for all things Landscape related.  I love the world around us; how it works, how it changes, how it expresses itself.

Nick & Abi - Wedding, Iowa City IA

Talk about an amazing couple and an amazing weekend.  The bride is the youngest sister of an old friend from high school and we've grown closer during this entire experience.  Their entire family brings a huge smile to my face and I just love them all to pieces.  This was a very special experience for me as I felt like I was one of the family.  It was an intimate ceremony with only immediate family members present and it was absolutely lovely.

Nick & Abi, may your days be filled with laughter and love, peace and hope.  You are true treasures.

Seth & Brianna - Wedding, San Francisco CA

My beautiful and amazing friends invited me out to California to photograph their wedding.  What an amazing day for an amazing couple.  Indeed!  The location was incredible as is their love and I was so very honored to be there to document their special day.  Being witness to two who are so in love is, well it is a blessing among blessings.

Brady & Stephanie - Wedding, Princeton MN

Basically all of the wedding work I've been blessed to receive thus far has been received via images I've posted to my personal facebook.com page.  Stephanie asked if I would be a part of their wedding day by photographing it for them.  See, they were married once before, so this was a renewal ceremony of sorts.  It was in a beautiful, magical location; her grandparent's backyard.  Seriously such lush, amazing landscape.  The day was cloudy, I mean severely overcast and storms were on the horizon; threatening ones at that.  The ceremony was spared as were the pictures captured afterward.  It was literally a picture perfect afternoon.  I'm truly blessed to be asked by friends and family to capture their special moments, truly blessed indeed.

Friday Wedding - Duluth MN

A good friend of mine asked if I would assist him with his wedding gig and I was happy to oblige.  I learned so much and it was only my second wedding (six days after my first wedding)!  I feel that since I was merely the assistant, I will not post the bride & groom's names on here.  It was a gorgeous day and a HUGE learning experience.  I know, I mentioned that already.  The happy couple were so lovely and so kind, so in love.  It just amazes me how open people continue to be in allowing you to be a part of their special day.  A virtual stranger, peering into their sacred moments.  What an honor.

The wedding festivities were held at the Greysolon in Duluth, MN.  It's an absolutely stunning venue, one I would recommend a million times over to prospective bride & groom's to be.

Zach & Charlie - Wedding, Dairyland WI

Meet Zach & Charlie, the amazing duo who invited me to be a part of their special day knowing that theirs would be my very FIRST wedding shoot.  Yes, you read that correctly, they asked and up until that point I hadn't even thought about photographing weddings.  I told them, 'Thank you so much but, I have never photographed a wedding before.'  It didn't seem to deter them for even one second.  ... I suppose everyone has to have their new experience and theirs was also mine.

They had the true meaning of a 'country' wedding.  It was great!  I had the best time and I think they enjoyed themselves as well.

Aidan - Children's Portrait Session

Everyone, meet Aidan.  A little guy with a big heart, a big smile, and the world's most captivating eyes.  When my friend asked me to photograph him I was overjoyed because it's one thing for a stranger to ask you to take pictures of their children but when a friend asks, well it's an amazing honor.  We had a great time and for a little guy who couldn't even walk yet, he sure was on the move.  It was a fun experience and I loved every second of our time together.  Hopefully another photo-shoot is in his future soon.  :)

Jadin & Hailey - Children's Portrait Session

My very first children's portrait session.  My wonderful friend Tina was gracious enough to allow me to practice my new camera skills on her two beautiful, lively children.  For hours upon hours I followed them around their house and had the greatest time doing so.  Children are so full of life and wonder, it was a very eye-opening experience to simply follow them around and watch how they entertain themselves.  What a blast.  Thanks Tina for the opportunity to get my feet wet, your family is a true blessing in my life!
